Tulips

Mum came to visit this last Sunday and brought me some gorgeous red tulips. I was given a tip by her to prick the stem just under each head to keep them upright. Must say, it worked as it's now Wednesday and they're still relatively good.

Today's Baking

Made to make your mouth water. Well, they did Mum's and mine. There was enough for us to have a few for afternoon tea and for her to take some home. Very simple recipe (Easter Biscuit one and flavours changed to suit my mood) and I always use icing sugar instead of caster). I also cut mine into sort of rectangles instead of having to roll the dough several times cutting circles. Means the dough doesn't get worked too much resulting in lighter biscuits with a lovely crunch.
